I Introduction of Skills Competition of China’s Vocational Colleges and the Competition Area of Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Sciences

    Since 2008,we have held 12 skills competitions. The event has been the competition with the large scale, high level, broad specialty coverage, and rich categories, a great institutional design and innovation in China’s education.

    During each competition, there have been state leaders of China, leaders from the Education Ministry and other State Ministries, presidents of vocational colleges nationwide, specialty heads, fraternities from industries and enterprises, fraternities from foreign educational institutes, and local residents participating in the event on the scene. Now the competition season has become a grand festival in the circle of China’s vocational education.

    Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Sciences, an undergraduate-level university founded in 1985, is the first school to introduce German “dual-system” into China. It provides education in the levels of undergraduate, higher vocation and secondary vocation, with 9 academic teaching faculties including advanced manufacturing industry and service industry. It is oriented to the applied technology teaching in higher education level and concentrating on cultivating applied and skilled talents with high quality for the development of regional economy and society.

    The competition focuses and emphasizes more on the involvement of international elements and relevant technical and cultural experience, therefore beside the regular games Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Sciences will hold a series of activities, including Interactive Communication of Chinese and Foreign Teachers and Students and European and Asian Culture Experience, providing a communicating platform for overseas fraternities, and to communicate the equipments and teaching resources development of vocational education, improve international cooperation and college-enterprises cooperation, support for industries and enterprise technician cultivation with specialty development, understand the internationalization process of China’s vocational education, we sincerely invite you to join in our ‘programs’.

    We welcome foreign (overseas) educational institutes and vocational colleges to take part in the technical invitational competition and participate in competition item observation and culture experience.

    We accommodate your group to familiarize yourselves in advance with the competition equipment, and provide the board and lodging, as well as Tianjin inner city culture tour.
