On April 13^th, 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a reception to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the launch of Lancang-Mekong Cooperation and the 2021 "Lancang-Mekong Week" at the St. Regis Beijing. The State Councilor and Foreign Minister Mr. Wang Yi attended the reception and delivered a speech. The diplomatic envoys of the five Mekong River countries in China, representatives of international organizations and relevant universities attended the meeting. In order to implement “the Belt and Road  Initiative”, the university cooperated with the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia to establish a Lancang-Mekong Vocational Education and Training Center in Cambodia. The construction results were displayed at the conference. Mr. Zhang Xinghui, Secretary of the Party Committee of TSGUAS, and Ms. Zhang Jingguo, Vice President of TSGUAS, were also invited to attend the reception.
