The Lancang-Mekong(LM) Vocational Education Training Center and Cambodian Luban Workshop is an educational cooperation project implemented by Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Sciences and National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia under the LMC mechanism. It was inaugurated on October 28th, 2018 and is the largest Luban Workshop so far. The first phase of the project has built 18 practical training rooms around majors of mechatronic and communication technology with 1,613 sets of educational equipment and 432 practical training stations, developed 133 sets of comprehensive supporting teaching resources and built a "Three-Course Integration" curriculum based on the three-dimensional practical training system. Through nine educational practices, the project has trained 62 elite teachers, 130 international students, 1916 academic students, and 794 social individuals from LM countries. The teachers and students have won 49 awards in international and domestic competitions, achieved 36 research projects, 18 patents and more than 4 million RMB in research funds from enterprises. The project has organized a series of “LM week” activities in various forms and contents cooperating with governments, institutes and enterprises and fulfill five functions of "Vocational Training, Academic Education, Scientific Research, Cultural Heritage, Innovation & Entrepreneurship". It has become the cradle of high-quality technical talents in the LM region, and has illustrated the pragmatic attitude of "Lancang-Mekong Cooperation".
