In order to implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s speech at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and to serve the higher education development and the 2014-2043 infrastructure blueprint of Nigeria, on November 27th 2020, Tianjin Sino-German University of Applied Sciences, Tianjin Railway Technical and Vocational College, University of Abuja, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation and Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. jointly built the Luban Workshop in Nigeria where is the largest economy in Africa, and firstly fulfilled the "Online Inauguration" and "Teaching Equipment Online Acceptance" during the epidemic. It was the gift for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relation between China and Nigeria. The workshop has five characteristics including application, innovation, comprehensiveness, advancement and research. It has established the basic experimental training system and expanded 5 new directions of application-oriented majors based on electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering and civil engineering of the University of Abuja, developed 21 sets of bilingual teaching materials and resources and trained 25 teachers. Cooperating with the University of Abuja and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, seven laboratories in campus, one training center and practical training base of rail transportation has been built, which created a new construction phase of “one body and two wings”.
