The Sino-Japanese cooperation project started in 1986 with the completion of the Tianjin Enterprise Management Training Center. The Japanese government invested 1 billion yen to fully introduce the Japanese enterprise management and management training and education model, mainly engaged in enterprise management training. In 1993, Tianjin Workers Modern Enterprise was established. The School of Management has five basic functions, including vocational training, business consulting, foreign exchange, scientific research information and academic education.
The university has sent 12 batches of about 60 teachers to Japan for training, of which 46 teachers have obtained the qualifications of business management consultants of the Japanese production headquarters.
Based on the Sino-Japanese cooperation project, the cooperation between the university and Japanese enterprises has also been further deepened. In 2010, the university cooperated with Japan's Mitsubishi Electric Corporation to build an automation technology training center and experience center. The center has become the largest and most comprehensive cooperation project of Mitsubishi Electric in China's higher vocational colleges so far.
On October 12th, 2016, President Zhang Xinghui met with the visiting Counselor Rio Yokoi of the Japanese Embassy.
In December 2019, 5 students from the 17th grade business Japanese major of the School of Applied Foreign Languages of our school received the admission notice from Okayama University of Commerce in Japan. This is the first batch of students to study in Japan since our university and Okayama University of Commerce signed a friendly exchange and cooperation agreement in December 2018.
